directory standards

these standards are what each member of the directory promises they have met before joining.

  1. Training: you have undergone significant training in your specialty as a healer and have received a blessing from your trainers to share this work. we won’t tell you how many hours the training should have been or exactly what this means to us, but please consider whether you feel you meet this training standard or if you think you could use more training before joining.

  2. Specialty: you are offering services in an area that you feel adequately trained in. you know the difference between being trauma-informed and trauma-specialized and you will refer a client to someone else (or point them back to the directory) if you feel you can’t offer the kind of help they are needing.

  3. Education: you are engaged in some form of continuing education as a healer.

  4. Mentorship: you are self-reflective + have your own therapist / healer who you are consistently working with AND, ideally, are in mentorship / apprenticeship / consultation around your healing work specifically.

  5. Right Relationship: you are in right relationship with your clients and know how to resource yourself + do repair work if this is ever in question.

  6. Collective Healing: you believe in healing not just individually but collectively and are looking at how your life, actions, words and participation in systems of libration and oppression affect the lives of those in your community and around the world. you are striving, in your work and life, toward a new paradigm.
